PERFORATED DRAWINGS

A series of drawings exploring the forgotten, liminal spaces in between.

Using rumpled up brown packing paper, their creases suggest past human activity.  Capturing the moment in time that it came from the roll and was fleetingly; almost probably without thinking, crumpled, in effect, an act of destruction.

Covered with a thick ground; an opaque sheen of graphite, each tiny pin-pricked hole is an act of taking away – simply leaving behind this unknown person’s trace.

Presence in the absence.
